This week, we get to hear from Vietnamese clan consisted of clan that has gone through hard time and have been able to bounce back, and be able to grow and get there status back. Being relatively a quiet clan, they seem to be a force to watch out for. If you have the unfortunate luck see them in the battlefield of the random matches, you will probably end up nothing more then a pile of scrap metal.
Q: Please tell us about your Clan. What brought your group together?
A: SW is a clan for WoT gamer only, it is an open clan for all WoT players who plays at least 1000 battles. However most of our members are Vietnamese that brought our together. Moreover, most of us are over 22 years olds, we have works and family therefore we do not have much time for playing, we just playing for fun. Last but not least, we also share our non game activities such as drinking coffee and beer together.
Q: How long have you been formed?
A: March 16th, 2011 is the day that we formed.
Q: What insight or philosophy is the driving force behind your union? In other words, what motivates your members, what instills that esprit de’ corps so many clans seek?
A: As a group of beta testers, we are eager to join clan wars when this function announced, at this time we though that we'll become hired guns to attack other's land. When the clan war released, we took part in some battles and won several cities. However due to the time difference, clan war battles take place during our working hour (8 - 11 A.M) we can not war anymore. This was the tough period of our clan when advanced players left and joined G-V-N to fight clan war (even our commander), number of members decreased from 100 to over 30. Then I was assigned as commander and changed the objective of clan, we decided to stay away from clan war, focus on platoon or company activities even just chat on the clan channel. Changes worked, we attract lots of players who do not have much time playing or cannot play at the clan war time.
Q: What leadership/management style can you share that has helped [SW] stay together as a vibrant and active Clan?
A: To ensure that SW is an active clan, we do clan check every weeks and kick out member who has not online for a week but did not notice about that. Also, 1000 battles is the only requirements to join SW. Moreover, we have a thread in a game forum (in Vietnamese) to discuss and share our views. [SW] Forums
Q: What can we expect to see from [SW] in the future?
A: Being a clan of Silent warriors, you wont see or hear about us in clan war battles but in random battles we're good platoon.
Q: What are your basic requirements for application and membership in [SW]? Is there anything specific you look for in an applicant?
A: As said above, our only requirement into our clan is to have played 1000 battles or more. We are pretty lenient when it what most other clans look for. We are just here to have fun playing the game, working as a team in platoons and with in company battles.
Q: Since the release of Clan Warfare, how has it impacted/affected your Clan?
A: Unfortunately, since the release of clan wars, it impacted us pretty great by having most of our more advanced players leave to go to another clan for they were about getting into clanwars.
Q: Our final question: For those interested in applying to [SW], what is the next step?
A: Get in contact with us. If you see any member with the SW tags, contact them and they will get in contact with us. You can all apply through our clans page at the following links.
